Foundation Outreach Event
NOCO Island Community Outreach
July 2026 NOCO Island, Fort Collins, CO
Our third major event brought together 50 community members, including 30+ children, for a day of mentorship, connection, and inspiration.
What Happened
- —Collaborated with Gold Boys Basketball (nonprofit organization), a local boy scout troop, and young men from the Colorado juvenile correctional system
- —Partnered with NOCO Island staff to create a welcoming, purposeful environment
- —Featured leadership from Charles Smith (Founder), Christopher Thomas, and Anthony Ramsey, alongside one of our youth mentors
- —Charles delivered a powerful, personal speech sharing his own struggles with the drug and gang worlds, his time in federal prison, and the critical lessons he learned—providing a raw, honest roadmap for young people to understand the consequences and choose a different path
Impact
Connected with young people at critical junctures in their lives, demonstrating that resilience, accountability, and community support can break cycles of violence and incarceration.
